Job description for Backend Engineer at Klikcair
Roles:
Backend Engineer will play an integral part in design, planning, and developing highly scalable, reliable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant financial internal system and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Practicing high ownership and independence in their work.
2. Design & build highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant APIs using microservices architecture based on solid principle and clean code.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
4. Refactor and enhance existing codebases for improved performance and maintainability.
5. Maintain well-structured documentation to support system development and usage
6. Work on bug fixing, benchmarking, and improving system performance.
7. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance system scalability, reliability, maintainability, and fault-tolerance.
Requirements:
1. Min. 3-4 years as backend engineer
2. Working experience using Golang
3. Experience with various database technologies, both relational and non-relation, such as MySQL and MongoDB.
4. Working experience with microservices architecture.
5. Good understanding of event-driven architecture (e.g. message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ).
6. Strong understanding of OOP
7. Proficient knowledge of linux syntax and Docker containerization technology.
8. Proficient understanding of change management tools, such as Git.
Nice to Haves:
1. Mandarin proficiency
2. Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design.
