About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our technology team and help build, maintain, and continuously improve our SaaS-based travel technology platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining existing applications, building and integrating APIs, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving application performance and reliability.
You will work closely with Product, QA, Support, and other technology teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that support our travel technology business.
What You’ll Do
1. Develop new web applications and features for existing SaaS products.
2. Design, develop, maintain, and improve backend services and applications using C# and .NET Core.
3. Maintain existing web applications, including bug fixing, refactoring, performance tuning, and system improvements.
4. Design, develop, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs.
5. Collaborate with Product, QA, Support, and other teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
6. Analyze and troubleshoot application issues and identify appropriate solutions.
7. Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and efficient code based on established coding standards and best practices.
8. Implement appropriate Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
9. Work with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server for data access and database-related development.
10. Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure application reliability and code quality.
11. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
12. Use Git/source control effectively to manage code and collaborate with the development team.
13. Prepare and maintain work-related technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, and other relevant artefacts.
14. Learn and understand existing business processes and domain knowledge, particularly in travel technology.
15. Support deployment, troubleshooting, and post-release activities when required.
16. Stay updated with relevant backend technologies, development practices, and industry trends.
What We’re Looking For
1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development, particularly backend development.
3. Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
4. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.
5. Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
6. Good understanding and practical experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
7. Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
8. Familiarity with Git or other source control systems.
9. Experience in maintaining and improving existing applications, including debugging, refactoring, and performance optimization.
10. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS is a plus.
11. Experience with SaaS products, web applications, travel technology, OTA, GDS, booking systems, or other technology platforms is an advantage.
12. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and development best practices.
13. Good command of English, particularly for technical discussions, meetings, documentation, and communication with team members.
