Job description for Back End Developer Mentor (Onsite) at IT STEP Academy

Job Responsibilities:

Teach and mentor students who are beginning their careers in Back-End Development using Python.
Deliver lessons on Python programming, OOP, data structures, and software development fundamentals.
Guide students in building web applications using Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
Teach database design, SQL fundamentals, and API development best practices.
Assist students with hands-on projects, coding exercises, and portfolio development.
Review student code and provide constructive feedback to improve coding standards and problem-solving skills.
Monitor student progress and provide academic support throughout the learning journey.
Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve curriculum quality and learning materials.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Back-End Developer, Python Developer, or Software Engineer.
Strong proficiency in Python, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and software development principles.
Experience developing web applications and REST APIs using Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and API integration.
Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and debugging techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Previous teaching, mentoring, training, or coaching experience is a strong advantage.
Able to teach online when needed
