Job description for Associate, Business and Investment Analysis at Quantum Power Asia
Associate, Business and Investment Analysis
Singapore or Jakarta based
About the role
Silverwing is building an acquisition and investment platform focused on logistics, supply chain and energy transition businesses across Singapore and Southeast Asia. We are looking for a strong generalist to take a question, structure it, do the work, and produce material that can go straight to a board, an investor or a counterparty.
The role suits someone with a strategy consulting background who wants ownership of the whole problem. You will run market and commercial analysis, build the models where the numbers matter, write the memos and decks that carry a decision, and support live transactions alongside the Principal.
What you will do
• Structure open commercial questions into a clear approach and work plan, then run them to a conclusion.
• Conduct market, sector and competitor analysis across Southeast Asia, including primary research through expert calls and industry contacts.
• Build the commercial case for acquisitions and investments: demand drivers, pricing, cost structure, competitive position and value creation levers.
• Produce board papers, investment memoranda, teasers, investor presentations and management briefings to a publishable standard.
• Build financial models where the analysis requires them, covering operating forecasts, valuation, returns and sensitivities.
• Support due diligence by reviewing materials, testing management claims, identifying issues and quantifying their commercial impact.
• Prepare business plans and 100 day plans for acquired businesses, and support post-completion performance tracking.
• Apply AI and automation tools to research, synthesis, data extraction and document production.
• Maintain the knowledge base behind the platform: sector notes, target databases, benchmarks and transaction comparables.
• Take on standalone strategic projects and executive priorities as they arise.
What we are looking for
• 5-7 years' experience at a top tier strategy consulting firm, or a comparable mix of consulting, corporate development, private equity, transaction services or investment banking.
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and reach a defensible answer with imperfect information.
• Excellent written English. You can write a memo that a chairman will read without editing it.
• Strong presentation and document craft, with genuine fluency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Solid quantitative and financial capability, including the ability to build a working model from a blank sheet.
• Practical experience using AI and automation tools to accelerate research, analysis and drafting.
• Commercial judgement and the confidence to hold a view in front of senior people.
• Comfortable operating without a case team structure, in a small and fast moving environment.
• Right to work in either Singapore or Indonesia. Employment Pass and KITAS sponsorship is not available.
• Regional language capability, particularly Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin, is an advantage.
Why join us
You will own your work from question to recommendation to execution, working directly with the founder and with exposure to business owners, investors, government counterparts, diligence and negotiation. The successful candidate is expected to take on increasing responsibility as the platform expands.
Remuneration
Remuneration includes a base salary together with performance and success based remuneration, linked to clearly defined KPIs covering quality of analysis and output, transaction support, pipeline development and overall contribution to the business. A significant portion of the package is therefore earned through successful performance and delivery of results.
