Job description for Assistant Project Manager (Tech) at Emtrade
Position Objective
Assist the Product & Technology Leader in translating ideas, discussions, and requirements into clear documents, tasks, and work plans so that the engineering team can work more quickly, in a structured manner, and with greater focus.
Job Description:
1. Attend meetings with the Product & Technology Leader and document all discussion outcomes.
2. Translate ideas and directions into clear, structured requirements that the engineering team can easily understand.
3. Prepare Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), task lists, action items, timelines, and meeting notes.
4. Break down projects into smaller tasks that the team can execute immediately.
5. Help prioritize work based on urgency, impact, and deadlines.
6. Follow up on the progress of each task and ensure targets are met on time.
7. Identify blockers and immediately escalate them to the Product & Technology Leader.
8. Keep all project documentation organized and up-to-date.
9. Ensure there is no miscommunication between Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
10. Help coordinate the project’s progress until completion.
Requirements:
1. At least 1–2 years of relevant experience.
2. A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Experience with software projects is a plus.
4. Basic understanding of software development (frontend, backend, APIs, databases).
5. Ability to create neat and well-structured documentation.
6. Comfortable using Google Docs, Notion, Microsoft Office, or other documentation tools.
7. Familiar with project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms.
8. Comfortable using AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to boost work productivity.
