Job description for Assistant Manager Operations (Copra Industry) at Borneo Pasifik Global
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Coordination: Assist in coordinating all aspects of copra production, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management, to ensure efficient and timely execution of production plans.
- Inventory Management: Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure that copra products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.
- Safety Compliance: Support safety initiatives and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations by promoting safe work practices, conducting safety inspections, and participating in safety training programs.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to operational staff, including supervisors, technicians, and production workers, to foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvement, and collaborate with the operations team to implement solutions and best practices.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze operational data, such as production metrics, downtime reports, and quality control records, to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, equipment maintenance, and other external support services required for operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance, to address operational challenges, coordinate activities, and achieve common goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Previous experience in operations management or a related role, preferably in the manufacturing, agribusiness, or in the Coconut Oil Industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, safety regulations, and best practices in manufacturing operations.
- Leadership qualities with a proactive attitude, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- 5 years or more experiences in the Agriculture Business/Copra Industry
