Job description for Art Director at Immortal Studios
- Develop and communicate the game's visual style and direction to the team
- Collaborate with the game designers to integrate the visual elements into the game's mechanics and story
- Manage and mentor the art team, providing guidance and feedback on their work
- Communicate with outsourced resources. Provide feedback, watch for deadlines, and verify the result.
- create and maintain art production schedules, ensuring that all art assets are delivered on time and within budget
- Ensure that the art team meets deadlines and delivers high-quality work
- Work with the development team to optimize the game's performance without sacrificing visual quality
- Stay up-to-date with new art and design techniques and technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in the games industry, with at least 2 years in an Art Director role
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of artists and designers
- Expertise in 2D and 3D art, including knowledge of industry-standard software such as Photoshop, Maya, and Unity
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for video games and the game industry
- Familiar with the Unreal Engine Output pipeline.
- A portfolio demonstrating a strong artistic vision and a high level of technical skill.
