Job description for AI / LLM Engineer at SMARTM2M Indonesia
SmartM2M Co., Ltd. is a Korean technology company specializing in blockchain, cybersecurity, and port and maritime systems. Our Bandung branch works hand in hand with HQ in Korea, and we are growing our in-house AI team.
The role
As an AI / LLM Engineer, you will design and build LLM-powered and agentic applications, from retrieval pipelines and tool-calling agents to fine-tuning and production deployment. You will also have the opportunity to work on AI security, including LLM red teaming, guardrails, and evaluation, alongside our cybersecurity team. Prior security experience is not required; strong LLM engineering skills are what matter most.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with LLMs or building agentic applications
- Proven track record, such as shipped products, production systems, open-source contributions, or a portfolio you can walk us through
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agent frameworks
- Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and working with commercial or open-source models
- Ability to work on-site in Bandung and collaborate with Korean and Indonesian teams in English
- Experience in AI security, red teaming, or adversarial testing is a plus
