Accounting Supervisor
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and timely completion of accounting tasks. This role supervises a team of accounting staff and coordinates with other departments to support overall financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Review journal entries, financial reports, and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitor and improve internal accounting processes and controls.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
