Accounting & Tax Specialist (Gold Business)
Role Overview
The Accounting & Tax Specialist is responsible for managing financial records, taxation, and reporting related to gold trading activities. This role ensures accurate recording of gold transactions (buy/sell), compliance with applicable tax regulations, and proper financial control over high-value assets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Recording & Reporting
* Record all gold purchase and sales transactions accurately (quantity, weight, price, margin)
* Maintain daily reconciliation between physical gold stock and financial records
* Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
* Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and margin from gold trading activities
* Track fluctuations in gold prices and their accounting impact
2. Tax Compliance & Reporting
* Calculate and report applicable taxes related to gold transactions (PPN, PPh, etc.)
* Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations for precious metals trading
* Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax reports (SPT Masa & Tahunan)
* Liaise with tax consultants and authorities when required
* Monitor tax risks and provide recommendations for efficiency
3. Inventory & Asset Control (Gold Handling)
* Maintain accurate records of gold inventory (in grams/units and value)
* Coordinate with operations for stock opname and discrepancy investigation
* Ensure proper documentation for every gold movement (in/out/transfer)
4. Transaction & Documentation Control
* Verify supporting documents for every transaction (invoices, receipts, contracts)
* Ensure proper audit trail for all financial and gold-related transactions
* Support internal and external audits
5. Process Improvement & Compliance
* Develop and improve SOPs for accounting and tax processes in gold trading
* Ensure strong internal controls to minimize fraud and errors
* Support system implementation (ERP, POS, or gold trading systems)

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Minimum 2–5 years experience in accounting/tax (experience in commodities, trading, or gold/jewelry industry is a plus)
* Strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations
* Familiar with inventory accounting and high-value asset management
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Accurate, SAP, or similar)
* High attention to detail and integrity (critical for gold-related business)
