Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Tax Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting and Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and producing financial statements
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop tax strategies for business units in the company
- Monitor changes to tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to the company
- Provide tax advice to the company, including responding to tax-related queries and concerns
- Collaborate with other division and business unit to ensure that financial data is accurate and up-to-date
- Participate in audits and provide financial data and documentation as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and tax preparation
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
