Academic Manager (STM / DoS) English Teacher - Batam

The Academic Manager (= STM Senior Teaching Manager, DoS Director of Studies) at CIE Central International Education is the person-in-charge of the high quality delivery of lessons to the students. The Academic Manager maintains the teacher quality by providing the necessary inductions as well as professional development. He/she also works closely with the Branch Manager & their staffs to maintain the operational performance, placement of students, customer retention and satisfaction.

Job Descriptions:

1. Having a full understanding of the business landscape of the company from young learners’ programs to overseas study. He/she supports the operational team in conducting placement tests, introducing school programs to the students & parents, as well as training the consultants in new product knowledge.
2. Supporting the consultants in achieving the target number of students & classes
3. Conducting recruitment of the academic team as well as coaching of new knowledge & skills.
4. Liaising with the consultants for maintaining effective class scheduling, placement of students in the appropriate groups, and conducting extra-curricular activities and other events.
5. Monitoring and providing feedback and reports for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
• Minimum Bachelor degree (preferably majoring in English/Teaching)
• Strong English proficiency is a must (at least C1 level)
• Has TEFL certificate or equivalent
• Previous managerial experience
• Love being around students and care about their progress & development
• Previous managerial experience, preferably in education environment
• Have a positive body language, attitude, and proper etiquette
• Willing to work between Monday - Friday (1:30pm - 9pm) and Saturdays (9am - 6pm)
• Having a TOEFL / IELTS Certificate is a huge advantage. So is having experience in teaching IELTS / TOEFL exam preparations
