Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance AS400 (IBM iSeries) applications based on business and technical requirements.
Perform coding, debugging, testing, performance tuning, and application optimization.
Analyze system requirements and conduct impact analysis for system enhancements and change requests.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, System Analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support system integration activities, including SIT, UAT, and production deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues during development and post-production support.
Ensure applications comply with coding standards, security policies, and performance best practices.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and development artifacts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in AS400 (IBM iSeries) application development for Mid-Level candidates.
5+ years of experience in AS400 (IBM iSeries) application development for Senior-Level candidates.
Strong programming skills in RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, or Free RPG).
Solid understanding of IBM i (AS400/iSeries) architecture, development, and operations.
Experience with DB2/400, SQL, and database design.
Hands-on experience with system integration and interface development.
Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Experience with REST API or SOAP Web Services integration is an advantage.
Previous experience in the banking, financial services, or payment industry is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience with production support and performance optimization.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a project team.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
