Job description for 3D Jewelry Designer at Sigma Gold Indonesia
Role Description
- Translating sketches and "original ideas" from the creative team into detailed 3D digital models.
- Ensuring designs are technically feasible for production (calculating metal weight, stone tolerances, and structural integrity) while maintaining a luxury aesthetic.
- Incorporating current global fashion trends into digital prototypes to ensure collections remain modern and desirable.
- Creating high-quality digital renders for marketing and client presentations, allowing them to visualize the limited edition pieces before they are physically crafted.
- Preparing files for 3D wax printers or resin printers and collaborating with master goldsmiths to refine the final output.
Key Requirements
- Technical Skills: Mastery of jewelry-specific software like MatrixGold, Rhino, or ZBrush.
- Artistic Eye: A deep understanding of form, ergonomics, and high-fashion aesthetics.
- Attention to Detail: An obsession with precision to ensure every "limited edition" piece is flawless.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Fine Arts, or a related creative field.
- Advanced proficiency in jewelry CAD software (e.g., MatrixGold, RhinoJewel, or ZBrush).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in 3D jewelry modeling (experience with high-end gold jewelry is a plus).
- A highly motivated and independent individual with strong collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- A creative problem-solver who can work efficiently under deadlines and collaborate well within a design team.
