Description
Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai is an Islamic non-profit foundation based in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. It was established on August 9, 1985, originally under the name Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Al Muhajirien Jakapermai, as a legal continuation of a local religious study group (Majelis Ta’lim). In 2006, the foundation adopted the term “Waqaf” to reflect its funding source—community endowments—and to emphasize that all its assets are held in trust for public benefit, not for private ownership or profit.
The foundation focuses on three main areas: social, religious, and humanitarian services. In the social sector, we manage 11 islamic schools ranging from kindergarten to high school level. The foundation also provides scholarships, operates orphanages, and organizes arts, sports, and vocational programs. In the religious field, the foundation maintains mosques and religious facilities, and manages donations such as waqaf, zakat, and infaq. Its humanitarian work includes running shelters, offering funeral services, and providing other community care initiatives.
