UNPAM was established in 2000 by the Prima Jaya Foundation, chaired by Drs. Wayan.However, in 2004, the management of the university by Yayasan Prima Jaya was transferred to Yayasan Sasmita Jaya at the beginning of 2005. After the management change, the goals that UNPAM aimed to achieve also changed.
The goal of the Sasmita Jaya Foundation is to realize an educational facility that is affordable and accessible to all layers of society without neglecting the quality of education itself.
Therefore, UNPAM always hires competent teaching staff and administrative personnel in their respective fields. UNPAM also develops its curriculum in accordance with the needs of the job market, so that all graduates of UNPAM are well-received in the workforce.
