On September 25, 2015, global leaders adopted the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to protect the planet, fight against, and attempt to eradicate poverty in order to build a more prosperous world for future generations. These goals were established as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Inspired by that, Gringgo as tech company is trying to fill the gap by using technological innovation for sustainable development in 3 sectors: Environment, Health, & Education.
Cash for Trash
Gringgo initially started as CashForTrash in late 2014. Founded by a team gathered during Startup Weekend Bali 2014 at HUBUD co-working space. It was initially created as a platform for recycling aimed at local schools to make recycling easier, rewarding and fun. The Concept as evolved and now Gringgo is tackling the trash problem head-on.
Gringgo - Trash Tech
Gringgo Trash Tech was established in 2015 with Olivier Pouillon as CEO and Febriadi Pratama as CTO with the goal of positively changing the urban waste crisis and the pervasive ocean plastic issue for communities in the fast-developing economies of Asia. It is currently based in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.
