PT. Sumber Bakat Insani (”SBI”) was established in August 1996 and recognized as the biggest and most comprehensive seafarer manning company in Indonesia with an annual deployment of more than 6,000 crew members.
SBI managed by professional and experienced team providing a one-stop solution services to our Principals from crew recruitment, document processing (including visa application), training, medical examination, and providing crew uniforms as required by the Principals as well as arranging airline tickets and all other pre-departure preparations.
We have been granted by the US Embassy to use their RDS software for online DS-156 visa application procedures. We are an ISO 9001:2008 and Maritime Labour Convention 2006 certified company. Our head office is located in Jakarta with a branch office in Bali.

Strategic location – Our company head office occupies one of the most strategic and easily reached locations in Gedung Kompas Gramedia 4th Floor, Jalan Panjang No. 8A Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat and also strategic located branch office in Kuta, Bali.
Training facility – Our Training Centre is located in Cikarang in the eastern part of Jakarta which can easily reached using the toll road. The establishment which provide English and Skill training is supported by Holland America Line and has achieved an international standard.
State of art information technology – Our company operate a web-based database with comprehensive information which periodically synchronized with our Principals databases and linked to the database of our appointed Hospitals, Embassies and others related parties.
One stop solution – Our company provide one stop solution services from visa application, training, medical
examination, supplying crew uniforms, arranging airline tickets and other pre-departure preparations.
Sustainable development – Together with our Principals we have always actively participating in some social activities. We have taken part during Aceh tsunami disaster in December 2004, Yogyakarta earthquake in May 2006, 2012 Nias – Padang earthquake and 2013 donation for orphanage children in Makasar.
