Jakarta Eye Center (JEC) was established in 1984 by 4 ophthalmologists :
- The late Djoko Sarwono, MD
- Darwan M Purba, MD
- The late Prof. Istiantoro, MD
- Bondan Hariono, MD
In 1984, it was named Klinik Mata Jakarta. With only 3 consultation rooms, 1 operating theatre, and no inpatient services, KMJ committed to improve the quality of life through eye care services. JEC is a specialized eye hospital with international clinical standards, providing full range of diagnostic and treatment services for eye disease and visual disorders.
After more than 32 years of experience in serving eye patients from all over Indonesia, JEC now has 3 branches in greater Jakarta area and plan to expand nation wide.
