PT Lautan Jaya Kumala (“LJK”) history started in the early 70s when the founder and self-made entrepreneur, M. Djaja started the business as an inter-island transporter of goods. He then developed the business into construction, owning a large fleet of heavy equipment. LJK warehouse started in 1992 when Djaja further expanded his businesses into warehousing and logistics. LJK was the pioneer that started operating as a warehouse provider in then, a newly set up industrial estate and logistic hub named KBN Marunda. The first warehouse was built in Marunda, an ideal location only 4 km away from Tanjung Priok Port, which is Jakarta’s major port. Aside from the close proximity to Tanjung Priok Port, another port facility 1.5 km away named Kalibaru Port started operating in 2013.
